2.10.7.4. Impact noises of different levels: When a worker is exposed to impact noises of different levels, the combined effect of these levels shall be computed by adding the following fractions:

where C indicates the total number of impacts at a specific sound level, and Nm indicates the total number of impacts permitted in accordance with section 2.10.7.3.
For the purposes of this section, the computation shall not include any exposure of a worker to a sound level of less than 120 dB linear peak value.
Where this method of computation is used, a worker shall not be exposed to a sound level so that the sum of the fractions exceeds unity.
